It may not be “raining cats and dogs” at Pinellas County Animal Services, but the shelter is brimming with pets ready to move into new homes. To help citizens welcome homeless cats and dogs, a reduced adoption rate of $20 is offered during the Dog Days of Summer.
The adoption fee includes a medical work-up with spaying/neutering, vaccination series, internal and external parasite control, heartworm testing and feline leukemia testing. A required Pinellas County license is also provided. During the months of July and August, $1 rabies vaccinations are available with the purchase of a pet license.
